Taylor Brooke Winery and its brewery in Woodstock are up for sale, according to a real estate listing from Berkshire Hathaway. The asking price for the 43-acre farm on Route 171 is $3.8 million.
The property features a 7,122-square-foot winery with a wine-making facility, tasting pavilion, retail space, and cocktail bar. It also includes a 5,884-square-foot brewery with a beer production facility.
The winery nestled in the state's "Quiet Corner" also has a commercial kitchen, taproom, outdoor patio, and 2,400-square-foot Cape-style home.
"The sale encompasses the vineyard, winery, brewery, residence, and all business assets, including an established product line, ensuring a seamless transition for new ownership," the listing said.
Founded in 2004, Taylor Brooke Winery has become a destination along the Connecticut Wine Trail, offering guided tastings, wine flights, and year-round events. The only other Windham County winery on the trail is Sharpe Hill Vineyard in nearby Pomfret.
In 2019, the owners expanded into craft beer, launching Taylor Brooke Brewery — the first brewery in Woodstock. Led by head brewer Ralph Fiegel, the brewery has built a following with a diverse lineup of beers, including styles that incorporate fruit and herbs grown on the farm.
Taylor Brooke's winery and brewery remain open while searching for a buyer. The winery is open on Fridays from 2 to 6 p.m., as well as Saturdays and Sundays from noon to 5 p.m.
The brewery is open on Thursdays from 2 to 7:30 p.m., Fridays from 2 to 8:30 p.m., Saturdays from noon to 7:30 p.m., and Sundays from noon to 5 p.m.
